About the Journal

The LALICO Journal of Multimedia and Communication Studies is a publication of the Departments of English and Literary Studies, Mass Communication, and Linguistics, Nigerian & Foreign Languages at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. As part of the LALICO series, this journal is committed to promoting scholarly inquiry and fostering critical engagement with the diverse and evolving fields of multimedia and communication.

The journal seeks to inform, educate, challenge, and stimulate debate among scholars, researchers, media practitioners, and students. It offers a platform for the dissemination of original empirical studies, theoretical explorations, critical analyses, and interdisciplinary research that explore the intersections of language, media, and communication technologies.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, multimedia storytelling and production, digital and broadcast journalism, social media communication, audiovisual culture, communication theory, public relations, advertising, and the role of language in media discourse. The journal encourages submissions that examine contemporary issues within traditional and digital media landscapes, especially those relevant to African and global contexts.

The LALICO Journal of Multimedia and Communication Studies is published biannually, with special editions occasionally released on a triannual basis. All contributions undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scholarly quality and relevance.
